Epson Control Codes
 
Epson Printer Codes were the industry standard through most of the 80s when DOS programs were in their prime.  Most DOS programs have an option to choose an Epson compatible printer.
 
The following codes are supported: (ascii codes are displayed here in decimal format)
 
Remenber that these prtinter codes are used to determine font characteristics when DOS Printer creates the graphic images for your report.  They are not passed to your printer.  You should set your DOS software to use EPSON printer codes no matter what Windows printer or Printer driver you are using !
 
013 010  =  New Line   (This can be changed to 010 013 - See Setup | Advanced Options)
 
012  = New Page
 
015 = Compressed on (15 cpi)
018 = Compressed Off
 
027 033 n where n =
   000 - Pica  (10 cpi, Normal Font)  This is "normal text" for most printers
               001 - Elite  (12 cpi, Normal Font)
   004 - Compressed (15 cpi, Normal Font)
               016 - Pica  (10 cpi, Bold Font)
   020 - Elite  (12 cpi, Bold Font)
 
027 045 001 - Underline On
027 045 000 - Underline Off
 
027 052 - Italics On
027 053 - Italics Off
 
027 069 - Bold On
027 070 - Bold Off
 
027 077 - Elite
027 080 - Pica
027 080 015 - Compressed Pica (17 cpi)
 
 
027 130 001 - Print the report in Landscape (can occur antwhere within report)
